Food for the Girl

Peeps have asked about my favourite cuisine. All the while, I have been replying “ehh very difficult to say lahh, so many types of cuisine I like.”

Well that’s still very true, but if you ask me the same question now, I’m sure I have a clearer answer now. I love Cantonese cuisine!! Claypot chicken rice with perfectly burnt rice crisps stuck to the side, double-boiled herbal soups fit for a king, roast meats glistening with juicy goodness, savoury beef hor fun and what nots.

And speaking of food, I’m so hungry right now. I’m craving for Ah Lok’s soups, stir-fried black bean sauce fish head with bittergourd, and tofu with prawns. OMG. The more I think of it, the hungrier I am. Look for this humble food stall tucked in a corner of some Chinatown kopitiam (K88 if I’m not wrong). According to my mama, who told this to Elinn Kong, she has been eating at Uncle Ah Lok’s stall since she was in her 20s or 30s!!

Starving!!
