I think my last 'interactive' post was probably sometime in March.
Drats. Work has been swallowing my time.
The work's interesting and fun, colleagues are wonderful but time's the main issue.
Its more or less a 24/7 job. Sometimes you get calls from anxious parents at 11pm.
Sometimes you get messages by the youngsters at unexpected hours, frantically telling you bout their issues.
I have 21 cases now, and that's like only half the workload of an experienced officer. OMG.
Its like I have a love-hate relationship with my job.
I love it cuz its the ultimate platform for learning, seeing and experiencing.
My supervisor said that if I can survive this job, I can work anywhere.
Perhaps its damn true, cuz we're dealing with people and humans are so unpredictable, there's no constant in this job....only changes.
On the other hand, I hate how the job has gobbled up my time and my energy.
Almost everyday after work, I'll be sooo tired......
Each time I meet Bibu or stay over at her place, I'm like stoning or sleeping.
I'm so sorry Bibu..... =(
I hardly have time for family stuff too...cept' for weekends.
But sometimes, the work doesnt stop even on weekends cuz cases act up when you least expect it...
Oh wells.
That's a whole lot of grumbles and complaints.
These aside, I did manage to catch two free movies =)
Escape from Huang Shi and The Forbidden Kingdom.
I like Escape from Huang Shi and I'm really impressed with Jonathan Rhys Meyers.I'm not sure if its historically correct eventhough its a true story about this war journalist George Hogg, but the scene whereby the Japanese swept their bullets over the people of Nanking after they were rounded up was damn real.
I was actually disturbed by it.
Maybe cuz I saw too many photos from the Pol Pot Regime when I was in Cambodia with Bibu..
But yea......I guess massacres like these are one thing I would never understand...
