Date-check: 17th December 2005... Whoa.. that's like half the month gone already.. hmm let's see what's been done so far eversince school's out and exams are long gone.. yay~
Okays, Bangkok was definitely fantastic... awesome... great... yeh you get the idea.. =)
I managed to hit my target: getting 10 tees that is.. plus all the junk and stuff
OH MY... i must say this... pantyliners and sanitary pads are darn cheap there!! Yah Yah sounds very 'auntified' but it is really freaking CHEAP!!! I should have bought more.. darn... hahaha.. but anyways, i spent all my money.. right down to the last baht i have... oh oh wait!! i forgot i have one baht left... yep! 1 freaking baht!! *beams* =P
So besides all that crazy shopping and stuff, food was great too.. just that the portion's too small.. yeh you heard that right... i dunno why but i guess Thai ppl eat lotsa small meals??!! I have this feeling that the Thai locals think we have never eaten in years... we need at least two bowls of rice.. haha!! yeah.. the rice there is superb!! Different i must say... soft, white, fluffy.... ahhh... heavenly..... Oh yah!! We managed to devour lotsa delicacies too... Birds' nest soup, Sharks' fin soup, Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins!!! Awesome! Drinks were awesome too.. I love the Thai tea, whether its Thai lemon tea or Thai milk tea... its so darn good.. sweet!!
Transport was fun too.. we sorta took all kinds of transport... skytrain, tuk tuk, cabs, and of course... on foot.... Hmm i guess the girls all love Tuk Tuk the best... Cheap Thrills!! HAHA.. Plus they must have been mesmerized by the cute Tuk Tuk driver... Gave tips somemore!!! tsk.....
Yeh we all had lotsa fun i guess.. the sextet consisting of Jac, Sharon, Huimei, Wendy, Elinn and me seemed like an odd combi at first, but i guess we warmed up to each other real fast!! 6 girls with a common goal i must say: shopping and good food =)
Nevertheless, amidst all the fun, there's also a side of Bangkok that we got to see.. Well, as cliched as it may sound, i definitely feel thankful that we are so fortunate.. People there work like hell i tell ya.. super long hours.. and there are lotsa ppl who hafta resort to begging for their livelihoods (although some are cheats!! we saw 1!!).. yup.. people there engage in all kinds of trade to earn a living.. what's really upsetting was how some of the people make use of animals to earn money.. we saw 2 Thai guys with a young elephant.. they were trying to sell packets of bananas to anyone who's willing to pay to feed the elephant.. its really heartbreaking.. especially when i saw the look in the elephant's eyes.. =( sigh...
Well.. i don't wanna end with such sad stuffs.. so yep.. Christmas is around the corner!!!
Look forward to prezzies and stuff!! Steamboat and booze!! YUM
I miss gatherings... shall pray for full attendance... *hints* =P
